Trifluorosilyl derivatives of some transition elements

Abstract

The compounds F₃SiMn(CO)₅, F₃SiMn(CO)₄PPh₃, F₃SiRe(CO)₅, F₃SiFe- (π- C₅H₅)(CO)₂, and F₃SiMo(W)(π-C₅H₅)(CO)₃ have been prepared by the reaction of SiF₃H with appropriate binuclear carbonyls. The infrared, mass, and ¹⁹F n.m.r, spectra for the compounds are discussed, together with some chemical properties.
