Abstract
Complexes of bi-and ter-valent technetium have been prepared with the diphosphine 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, viz. [Tc(diphos)2X2] and [Tc(di-phos)2Br2]Br where X = CL, Br. The complexes can be formulated as octahedral compounds and both magnetic and spectral evidence agree with this. The quadrivalent technetium compounds TcBr4, TcBr4(Ph3P)2, and the salts (diphos-H2)TcX6 (X = CL, Br) and Ag2TcCl6 have also been prepared and are described. Attempts to prepare the trichloride (TcCL3) are also reported.https://doi.org/10.1071/CH9700453
