Mass spectrometric studies. II. β-Phenylglycidic esters and amides

Abstract

The mass spectra of some β-phenylglycidic esters and amides have been analysed, and the spectra have been rationalized on the basis of a number of impact-induced rearrangements, including a novel one involving the migration of an alkoxy or amino group. The N.M.R. spectra of the compounds are tabulated, and are used to determine their stereochemistry.
