Some studies in inorganic complexes. XIX. 2-Mercaptomethylpyridine, 2-thioamidopyridine, and 2-aminomethylpyridine reactions

Abstract

The following compounds have been prepared and studied: the inner complexes [M picmer₂], [M₂Cl₂ picmer₂], and [Sn₂I₆ picmer₂] where H-picmer is 2-mercaptomethylpyridine and M is divalent nickel, palladium, and platinum. The 2-thioemidopyridine(thiopic) complexes [Bi thiopic₃][ClO₄]₃ and [Sn₂I₆ picmer₂] and the salts [thiopic-H]₂[BiX₅],[thiopic-H][SbX₄], and [thiopic-H][AsX₄] (X = Cl, Br, I) as well as the 2-aminomethylpyridine (pic) complexes [Os pic₃][ClO₄]₃, [Os pic₂ pic-H]- [ClO₄]₃, [Os pic (pic-H)₂]Br₂, and [SnI₄ pic] are also described.
