The Karyotypes of Glycine wightii and Pseudoeriosema borianii

Abstract
On the basis of measurements of length and arm ratios the chromosomes of G. Wightii and P. borianii can be arranged in three groups, which are common to both species. Most chromosomes can be individually recognized. These species do not appear to be close!y related to G. max but are closely related to each other. Major structural changes in chromosomes have not occurred in the evolution of the morpho- logical forms of G. wightii. The tetraploid races of G. wightii are probably autotetraploid.
