Abstract
A proteinaceous factor extracted from each of five different plant species elicits both gonadotrophin-like responses in animals and morphogenetic responses in plants. Of the species tested, legumes contained highest amounts of this factor. Extraction was performed by binding foliage protein extracts to a column of polymerized gonadotrophin antibodies and subsequently eluting with a suitable buffer medium.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9730105
