Stomatal Role in the Variability of Net Co2 Exchange Rates by Two Maize Inbreds

Abstract

Within-inbred and between-inbred variability of net CO2 exchange rates of two maize inbreds (Wf9 and Pa83) was studied. In contrast to studies on these lines in tropical conditions, in which mean net CO2 exchange rates for Pa83 was three times that for Wf9, the two lines did not differ greatly although the ranking was the same.
