Abstract
Electron micrographs showed extensive disorganization of the protoplasts of Williams pear tissue during ripening. These changes in ultrastructure, characterized by vacuolation of the cytoplasm and its inclusions, were correlated with existing data for respiration during ripening of Williams pears.https://doi.org/10.1071/BI9640078
