Hornedness na polledness in sheep. III. The inheritance of horns in Dorset Horn ewes

Abstract

Horns in Dorset Horn ewes have been shown to result from the action of the dominant gene P' which leads to horns in Merino ewes, or from a dominant gene closely linked with P'. If they result from P' itself, which is more likely, the Dorset Horn breed is homozygous for P'.
