An evapotranspirometer

Abstract

The equipment is designed to measure evapotranspiration from a growing crop. It comprises a large container filled with soil and set in the field so that the top is flush with the ground surface, and a device for measuring changes in weight of the contents. The crop in the container is therefore grown under conditions which approximate closely to those in the surrounding field.
