Abstract
The reproductive performances of four Merino, three Corriedale, and one Polwarth flock in the Western District of Victoria were recorded between 1958 and 1961. Of ewes recorded at lambing, 89.7 per cent lambed (6.8 per cent bore twins), 78.9 per cent of lambs were marked and 74.4 per cent weaned. Of lambs born, 17 per cent were lost before marking and 21 per cent before weaning. The average survival rate was 82 per cent of single lambs and 58 per cent of twin lambs.https://doi.org/10.1071/EA9670304
