F₁ tomato hybrids for Murray Valley glasshouses

Abstract

A series of trials extending over three seasons has shown a number of F1 combinations to be superior in production, quality and earliness to the standard tomato variety used in commercial glasshouses in the Murray Valley irrigation area. An assessment of varieties for their potential as parents, points to other F1 hybrid combinations which would warrant testing.
