Abstract
A new species of dunnart, Sminthopsis youngsoni, is described. It is smaller than, but most similar to the Hairy-footed Dunnart, S. hirtipes. These two species form a subgroup of arid-adapted species within Sminthopsis. The new species comes from habitats on sandy surfaces throughout arid tropical areas of Western Australia.https://doi.org/10.1071/AM82029
