Abstract
The Australian bat fauna includes 52 described species. Further taxonomic clarification is desirable in several genera. Although the historical zoogeography and evolution may be inferred, no fossil evidence has yet been recorded. With the exception of the Bent-winged Bat, Miniopterus schreibersii, and the flying foxes, Pteropus spp., little is known of the biology of Australian species.https://doi.org/10.1071/AM74002
