Abstract
Sminthopsis crassicaudata is widespread in grassland and shrubland in the southern half of Australia. An ecological study which aimed to determine the primary adaptations allowing this species to exist in open grassland and desert environments is introduced in this paper. Study areas and methods of capture are described.
