Extreme Tooth Loss in a Specimen of Isoodon macrourus (Peramelidae : Marsupialia)

Abstract

The skull of an almost edentulous Isoodon macvourus was examined radiographically. A detailed description of the bony findings indicated that tooth loss was of a postnatal pathological origin rather than developmental anodontia.
