The measurement of chemical potential of phosphate in soil suspensions

Abstract

The dependence of Schofield's phosphate potential on the soil/solution ratio and the time of shaking of the suspensions was reaffirmed and studied in some detail. Some factors which could affect the measurement of potential were investigated, but the cause of the observed variations of potential was not resolved.
