Abstract

Queensland populations of Eriostemon angustifolius P.G. Wilson subsp. angustifolius are recognised as a new species, E. sporadicus. This taxon is characterised by the sporadic pattern of cork formation on branchlets, shortly clavate leaves with rounded, glandular apices, and solitary, shortly pedicellate flowers not subtended by basal bracts. Illustrations, photographs and photomicrographs of the new taxon are included.
