Resurrection and systematic position of Pentalepis F. Muell. (Asteraceae-Heliantheae)

Abstract

The generic name Pentalepis F. Muell. is resurrected for two Australian species hitherto included in Chrysogonum (Asteraceae-Heliantheae). A systematic position for the genus in the Ambrosiinae- Engelmanniinae group of the Heliantheae is proposed. The type of the genus is illustrated, and detailed descriptions are provided for both species.
