Abstract
In Australia, two species of Podaxis are recognised based on spore morphology. The species occurring on soil is recognised as P. pistillaris (L. : Pers.) Fr. and the name P. beringamensis sp. nov. is proposed for a new species occuring on termite mounds in Australia. Podaxis carcinomalis (L.f. : Pers.) Fr. is considered a valid taxon from studies of the type collection. Brief notes on other termite mound inhabiting species are given.https://doi.org/10.1071/SB95043
