Abstract

The type specimens of Perenniporia clelandii (Lloyd)Ryvarden, Perenniporia subcretacea (Lloyd) Ryvarden,Perenniporia subaurantiaca (Rodw. & Clel.)P.K.Buchanan & Ryvarden, Perenniporia oviformisG.Cunn. ex P.K.Buchanan & Ryvarden, andPerenniporia podocarpi P.K.Buchanan & Hood, alloriginally described from Australasia, as well as ofPerenniporia clelandii (Lloyd) Ryvarden var.subrosea Corner andPerenniporia oviformis (G.Cunn.) Corner var.borneensis Corner, both described from South-east Asia, were re-examined. Perenniporia clelandii,P. subaurantiaca and P. oviformisare accepted in Perenniporia. Corner’s concept ofP. clelandii was confused and his reports of thisspecies are based on a different taxon. Separation of the varietyP. oviformis var. borneensis isrejected. Perenniporia podocarpi is maintained inPerenniporia although with doubts. Its taxonomicposition is discussed, in comparison withPhaeotrametes decipiens (Berk.) Wright.Perenniporia cunninghamii is described as new.Perenniporia subcretacea is excluded fromPerenniporia, and transferred toSpongipellis.Perenniporia clelandii,P. subaurantiaca, P. oviformis,P. podocarpi andSpongipellis subcretaceus are redescribed andillustrated.
