The genus Eragrostiella Bor (Poaceae, Eragrostideae)

Abstract

The taxa of Eragrostiella Bor are reviewed. As a result, the genus is recorded in Australia and Thailand for the fist time, and E. brachyphylla (Stapf) Bor for the first time in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). Two species are reduced to varietal rank, and one varietal name to synonymy. The genus comprises five species, one with three varieties. A key to their identification is provided. The Australian plant is considered to have resurrection properties.
