Abstract
Planning the development of new community facilities is a challenge. The knowledge required to provide a framework in which to establish a functional structure go beyond that of architecture, construction, health service provision, and facility management. What is required is an ability to create a centre, not only based on its internal and external appearance, but also on whether it is responsive and flexible enough to incorporate future needs and services beyond immediate planning.https://doi.org/10.1071/PY95018
