Abstract
In this paper, key controversies surrounding the early detection, management and prevention of breast cancer are explored as a backdrop to considering the psychosocial support needs of women living with breast cancer. This paper also describes an innovative model that was developed at Women's Health In the North (WHIN) in 2004, for women with the greatest need for support - in this case, Macedonian women in the northern metropolitan region.https://doi.org/10.1071/PY05044
