Translating Principles into Practice: Lessons from Canada

Abstract

The paper offers an overview of the status of primary care reform in Canada with some lessons outlining factors conducive to and against its implementation. Because health systems differ from one another, and depend on cultural and political contexts, these lessons may or may not apply to other jurisdictions.
