Abstract
A new drift tube technique incorporating electron density sampling to locate the drifting electron swarms has been used to measure electron drift velocities in the range 0.14–1.4 Td. The data were obtained at several pressures from 0.2 to 0.5 kPa. The estimated accuracy ranges from 2% at 1.4 Td to 5% at 0.14 Td.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH800215a
