Abstract

A comparison of the spatial and fourier components of a number of effective two-nucleon interactions, suitable for use in analyses of inelastic nucleon scattering data, is complemented by a comparison of their use in a variety of distorted wave analyses. Specifically, a set of effective interactions derived from 'realistic' potentials have been compared, not only with each other, but also with a semiphenomenological valence interaction that has been developed over recent years and has been used extensively in reaction data analyses.
