On Space-like Geodesics in Two Special Gravitational Fields

Abstract
Studies are presented of space-like geodesics in the fields of a charged mass point and an uncharged static cylinder. For the first case, it is shown that circular space-like trajectories are unstable in character under radial perturbations for a physically plausible situation (82 < m2). For the second case, it is shown that no trajectories in the r-f/J plane satisfy the conditions of stability.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH770251
