Abstract
A theoretical account is given of temperature modulation experiments on a ferromagnet sample in which the resulting voltage induced in a pick-up coil is monitored by phase-sensitive detection. Calculations are made of the effects of magnetic relaxation and of the thermal skin depth on the signal amplitude and phase. The relaxation calculations are shown to be consistent with recent experimental data for gadolinium.,https://doi.org/10.1071/PH760395
