Abstract
The magnetic drift velocity W M relating to the drift of an electron swarm in crossed electric and magnetic fields has been measured in hydrogen and uterium at 293°K. The measurements were made using Huxley's method of asuring Wx/W., the ratio of the transverse to the longitudinal drift velocity. Data re given for W M and for the magnetic deflection coefficient 'l' for 6·1 X 10-19 < E/N <2·7Xl0-16 Vcm2 for hydrogen and 6·1xl0-19 <E/N<2·4xl0-16 Vcm2for euterium.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH670547
