Abstract
The 210 ft radio telescope at Parkes has been used to determine the profiles of the 21 cm line from neutral hydrogen at about 100 points over the Sc galaxy NGC 300. The systemic velocity is + 145 km/sec, and the mass of neutral hydrogen is 2· 1 X 109 Mo. The total mass, determined from a rotation curve constructed from the velocities of the peaks of the profiles, is 2·5 X 1010 M 0' for an assumed distance of 1· 9 Mpc.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH670131
