Abstract
In this paper the more important general formulae for the drift velocities and diffusion coefficients of ions and electrons in gases are derived by the application of dynamical principles. These formulae agree with those already established by a proper application of the method of free paths. Formulae for the distribution of speeds of agitation are also derived.https://doi.org/10.1071/PH600718
