Abstract
It is universally agreed that provision of timely and accurate epidemiological data on newly diagnosed cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is essential for the control of this disease. It would be reasonable to expect that information obtained from HIV testing laboratories, especially that concerning patients in the early stages of the disease, would be valuable in tracking and influencing the course of the epidemic.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB94006
