Abstract
There were 86,414 births to 85,032 women reported in 2003 (Table 1). Over the last five years the number of births has ranged from about 86,000 to 88,000. Between 1999 and 2003, the number of twin pregnancies remained fairly stable while the number of triplet pregnancies has declined by about one quarter.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB04S60
