Abstract
A key feature of the NSW health system is its 17 geographically-based area health services (AHSs). Funding to the AHSs by the NSW Department of Health has been guided by the objective of providing the AHSs with a share of resources that allows the achievement of comparable access to health services, assuming the achievement of reasonable levels of efficiency.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB04S14
