Abstract
The number of births per year has remained fairly stable over the past five years (Table 1). There were 87,289 births to 85,967 women reported to the MDC for 1999. Of the 85,967 confinements reported in 1999, 1,261 (1.5 per cent) were for twins and 30 for triplets.https://doi.org/10.1071/NB01S04
