Abstract
The evidence for wader migration across Australia is reviewed, and it is concluded that it occurs. The rate of fall-out is low, particularly on spring passage and when crossing the Central Region, which contains the most inhospitable areas of the continent. Attention is drawn to the lack of quantitative data from Australia's northern coasts, which could hold really large numbers of migratory waders.https://doi.org/10.1071/MU970145
