Abstract
The Individual Observation Points (I.O.P.) Scheme completed one years operation in August, 1966. The history of the scheme and the methods of recording are described. In presenting the results for selected species the emphasis has been on showing that the scheme is capable of detecting bird movements with little emphasis on interpreting the movements. except to describe in general term, the type of movements that could give rise to the observed results. The data for three species, Welcome Swallow, Blackbird and Silvereye have been analysed in some detail.https://doi.org/10.1071/MU968042
