Abstract

The notes describe briefly the displays of the Musk-duck, claiming that splashings and "plonk" sounds are produced entirely by the feet, whilst the characteristic shrill whistle is a vocal effect. Further rarely heard vocal effects are described. General habits, as seen in a Northern Victorian locality, are described.
