Investigation on Underwater Fouling. II. The Biology of Fouling in Australia: Results of a Year's Research

Abstract

The results of the first year of work on a continuing investigation on the fouling of submerged surfaces are outlined, with some preliminary conclusions to be drawn therefrom. The work represents a study of glass plates exposed to fouling by marine growth in the south-east of Australia. Only the more abundant fouling organisms are listed and their seasonal abundance is shown.
