Abstract
The ACT Infection Control Association held its Annual General Meeting on the 12th July 2000. Our association has had another productive year with our members working enthusiastically to maintain a strong infection control presence, both at a local and national level. Achievements for the ACT association on a local level include:- Growth in membership to 40 people from the ACT and surrounding district, encompassing many health related disciplines;
- Continued representation on the ACT Department of Urban Services' review of clinical waste management in the ACT;
- Consultation on the ACT Infection Control Code of Practice;
- Finalisation of the scholarship criteria;
- Continued education sessions alternate months, plusongoing participation in the public health seminars.
