Preface

Abstract

This volume is produced by the Geological Survey of Victoria and is a joint publication of the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists (ASEG). The volume aims to be a source of reference material for use by geologists and geophysicists involved in exploring for base metals in Victoria and similar terrains worldwide. As exploration becomes more active in areas under cover, geophysical techniques will play an increasingly important role in new discoveries. The case studies described of mineralisation in areas of outcrop or shallow cover will help explorers to determine appropriate geophysical techniques for exploration under cover.
