Abstract
Measurements of achieved resolution on data recorded in 1941 show better resolution than typical data recorded in 2007, and the data in intervening years are generally consistent with the long-term trend, though there may be a slight increase in resolution from a low point in the 1970s. Possible explanations include the use of increasing reflection angles, increased use of surface sources, and the use of multiple-fold techniques.https://doi.org/10.1071/ASEG2010ab079
