Abstract

Application and research into the galvanic (self-potential and induced polarization) mineral exploration techniques has not been prominent in Australia over the past decade. Some experimental work for their application to petroleum exploration has occurred, but more extensive efforts have been applied to transient electromagnetic techniques.
