History and style of Cooper?Eromanga Basin structures

Abstract

This paper presents a new and somewhat controversial tectonic model to explain the evolution of the Cooper Basin area. The author interprets much more compression and wrenching than previous workers, who have considered the basin to be dominated by simple extensional tectonics. Currently, this model is still being tested and is yet to be applied.
