Abstract

SIROTEM logs made with the transmitting loop over the Elura deposit recorded strong anomalies in the shaft, and weak anomalies in drillhole BMR 1, which terminates at 63 m depth above the deposit. These anomalies are attributed to the deposit. In drillhole E36, which is located northeast of the deposit, a very weak anomaly, possibly due to the deposit, was recorded at t = 5.8 ms when the transmitting loop was partly over the deposit. All logs made in the shaft, in BMR 1, and in E36 recorded strong overburden responses which can be explained as being due to subsurface apparent current filaments at a depth of 60?80m.
