Abstract
Magnetics and gravity proved to be the most effective exploration methods used at Elura and modelling indicates that the deposit could have been detected at a depth of burial of 300 m. Geophysical results obtained at Elura and elsewhere in the Cobar area show that aeromagnetics is the only practical method of reconnaissance exploration, and gravity is the only method capable of estimating with any confidence the size of the deposit. The effectiveness of geophysical exploration in the Cobar area can be enhanced by the joint and interactive interpretation of several geophysical methods.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG9804031
