Abstract
During 1972, an investigation of telluric current activity in the Otway Basin of South-Western Victoria was carried out. The survey showed that the amplitudes of telluric current variations in the basin were an order of magnitude smaller than those generally observed elsewhere in the world. The lower amplitudes observed reflect the extremely low resistivity of the sediments in the basin. The spectra of the amplitude variations did not exhibit any minima which might facilitate the selection of frequency in deep electrical resistivity surveys.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG973209
