Abstract
Geophysics has an important role in investigations relating to the civil engineering construction industry. Its principal contributions relate to the following topics: Seismic methods using refraction and reflection; Resistivity studies of surface traverses for profiling and sounding and borehole logging; Gamma ray logging in bore holes; Analysis of vibrations in engineering seismology in industrially produced vibrations; Remote sensing, using infra-red, thermal and radar imagery.https://doi.org/10.1071/EG971250
