José Barros is a professor of organic chemistry at Instituto de Química/Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His research interests are niobium catalysis, and organic and medicinal chemistry. Additionally, he is involved in API production and the structure of the pharmaceutical industry in Brazil.
